Sandy's doctors tell her she's the exception:
- A diabetic for 50 years
- A person who follows the renal diet to the letter
The second means that they now are encouraging her to "break the rules" a little. Have one meal of spaghetti with a little no-salt-added sauce, for example.
The first means they don't know how to treat her medically. Her endocrinologist has tinkered with her insulin and it seems to be an improvement. But it's trial and error medicine--not many errors, I hope.
Your love and prayers help us stay strong. It's still (and may always be) one day at a time. As Jesus said, "Sufficient unto the day..."
We're grateful for all God's blessings.
